Ghataprabha Forest Division is committed to conserving forests, protecting wildlife, and empowering communities to become active partners in safeguarding Karnataka's rich natural heritage. Together, we are creating greener landscapes, stronger ecosystems, and a lasting legacy for future generations.

Natural thorn and scrub forests spread across rocky hills, slopes and valleys, supporting drought-resistant vegetation.

Dry Deciduous Forests

Open dry deciduous forests rich in native flora and wildlife, forming one of the division's major forest ecosystems.

Riverine Ecosystems

Fertile river valleys and riparian habitats along the Ghataprabha River sustain biodiversity throughout the region.
